IADAU members shall conduct their businesses in a professional manner and maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct.
IADAU members agree to strive for exceptional customer service.
IADAU members shall refrain from making any statement or conducting themselves in any manner which may bring discredit to the association, the industry or other members of the association.
IADAU members shall support programs and initiatives which increase education and professional development within their Industry.
IADAU members shall not discriminate against any customer, employee or supplier on the basis of race, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation or disability.
IADAU members shall respect and deal honestly with customers, suppliers and employees at all times, without false promise or misrepresentation.
IADAU members shall resolve customer concerns promptly and courteously.
IADAU members shall not engage in false or misleading advertising, nor will they misrepresent any vehicle, product or service to a customer.
IADAU members shall not participate in any form of antitrust or any other unethical marketing practice and comply with the association antitrust statement.
IADAU members shall maintain a policy of complete compliance with all existing laws and regulations governing their business operation.
IADAU members shall treat with respect all regulatory personnel and government officials who may have jurisdiction over the business’ activity.
IADAU members shall hold confidential any privileged information entrusted or made known and shall not disclose this information without permission to any third party except as required by law.
It is not the IADAU role to act as arbiter or judge of competitive conduct of industry members. As such, the statement of antitrust policy is not a mechanism through which members should charge another member with an alleged illegal action.
Organizational Excellence - IADAU will establish a policy of organizational excellence, this will include governance, transparency, leadership recruitment and retention, and internal communication.
Advocacy - IADAU will be an advocate for local used car consumers, it will also promote
the business through legislative representation.
Member Support - IADAU is committed to being a support to its members by assisting in being a resource for education, information, and providing the benefits its membership
desire.
Promotion - IADAU will promote the used car indusrty by using all tools available to assist the public in understanding its benefits. This includes ad campaigns, show promotion, and consumer information and advocacy
